Japanese Anime: Cells at Work

Cells at Work is a Japanese anime that "follows the world of a human's body which is represented as cities with roughly 37.2 trillion anthropomorphic cells who work together endlessly daily to run their world." Its story predominantly follows the red blood cell whose responsible for transporting oxygen and nutrient throughout the body and the white blood cell whose responsible for patrolling the blood vessel and destroying threats. The anime gives each cells human characteristics and personality which allows for a more entertaining and engaging experience as it proceeds to educate the audience on how the cells function in our body. From this anime, I learn more about characterization. Even if there wasn't a distinct plot and due to the limitation of the prototype, the cells in the anime cannot grow as a character, memorable humane characteristics and motivation can better engage the audience and allow them to understand the biological information that the creator attempts to convey.
